Update Yo…

SOOOOOO …. It’s been forever since i blogged… I realize this. SAD. but anyway, Its been a crazy end of the year / new year for me. I hae decided not to move off… I am doind athens online and staying home. I changed my major as well. BUT I am still going to get a masters in theatre and speech. It’s all good!!  

THEATRE!!!! Death of a salesman was great … if you watched our vlogs (which took the plave of blogging) you would have seen how things went. I was very proud of that cast and crew. Very. 

Now we are in practice for Little Shop of Horrors!!!!! A musical about a man eating plant!! I know, right?!!! It’s going to be sooooo GOOOODDD!! We are working hard to make it Fantastic.  

I know this is breif but… its all i have time for right now… I am in the middle of getting ready to go to Chatt town to the Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre!!! So Goodbye, so long…be back soon.

Catch up!!

Well,… Its has been awhile since I have blogged. So, what I may talk about may be out of order… lol. I hope you can forgive me. 

So… As for the play… The cast has got all their blocking done. (blocking-is theatre term which refers to the precise movement and positioning of actors on a stage in order to facilitate the performance of a play.) Now it’s time to work on the details, acting, being real, the giving of yourself to the audience.

Clint Leroy has already been putting some hard work into to it… He is quite the actor. Luanne Bowman as well has been working hard. She is the cutest Linda ever. All the actors and actresses have been working hard to make this play a testimony to Author Miller’s work. This play will be moving, I bet you that I’ll be crying when I watch opening night. So proud of our cast. Our crew has been working hard too. The set is being made, which by the way will be amazing. Mr. Archer will out do himself again. 

And for other NACC related activities…. We had our Mustang Leadership retreat two weeks ago… It was a lot of fun… We had three sessions of Leadership training as well as games, and snacks and for me..Studying. umm… Miss Northeast is Saturday and we have 20 girls competing. All lovely. It will be a tough choice for the judges this year. SGA is underway with planning for the Fall Fling… Lots of fun activities planned for the week of Halloween… Spooky. 

I have noticed that around campus a few girls have started wearing scarves and boys are rockin’ the beanies… Which is a clear sign that fall is here and winter is approaching. I personally love guys in beanies, so I don’t mind this.

I was thinking the other day that I wanted it to stop raining so much… then WAFF 48 road tour came to Northeast. They explained to me and several others why it has been like Forks in rainsville… Because of El Nino. (A: is a disruption of the ocean-atmosphere system in the Tropical Pacific having important consequences for weather and climate around the globe. B: abnormal warming of surface ocean waters in the eastern tropical Pacific) Among these consequences are increased rainfall across the southern tier of the US. Crazy huh? Looks like we might have a good snow this winter.

I am very excited to see what becomes of Death Of A Salesman!! We have an OUTSTANDING cast and crew… No doubt that it will be anything but amazing! 

At the meeting tonight we watched a clip from Death of a Salesman… And it’s really powerful. I have a feeling this play will have a huge impact on people’s lives.

R.I.P Polly The Flamingo.

So Last night was the back to school dance. We had about 48 people show up to party. Plus Polly… Well until she got murdered. 

Yes, She was sitting in a tree in the student center and someone accisently popped her. She started to deflat and I knew it was over for my pink little friend. Through out the night people honored Polly by dancing with her, jumping over her and aacting like she was a prop. We will miss her but her week at NACC will be remembered.

We talked, played ball, ate lots of food and danced the night away!!

Three more days till I find out wwhat or who I am in Death of a Salesman.  I’m getting nervous now… Hopefully I’ll be cast… but if not it will be ok.

I got the text!!

Hey guys!! 

So today I was working schlorship hours in the theatre… cutting colors and I got the text! 

“You have been chosen as cast or crew for Death of a Salesman!”  The company meeting ( when we find out who is cast and who is crew and what position we and role we hold. ) will be tuesday!

So tuesday night I will blog and let you guys know who is what!! I’m super excited to get back into the flow of things!! It’s been quite a wait!

The past few days at northeast Devin, and I have been taking Polly the flamingo around campus and placing her in different classes to advertise our Welcome Back Party Friday night from 7 to 11!!! It’s been alot of fun… I think Polly likes Northeast.
